Harlem moved to Los Angeles, they spent their first day prank calling 911 from every payphone on Hollywood Blvd and lit an American flag attached to a car on fire. Time passed and they couldn’t get a show to save their lives. They then moved from one “cockroach town apartment” to another, city to city, settling in Austin, until somebody at Matador finally said, “This band rocks—let’s give them a record deal.” Their second album ‘Hippies’ quickly become a critics darling of an album. With such classic songs as Spray Paint, Friendly Ghost and Stripper Sunset. A garage band studied in the ways of Nuggets but clearly enamored with Pixies, they are committed to crafting bubblegum choruses flavored with booze and cigarettes. This is the first time Harlem have played together in years, and they are reforming just for Australia and too party down with all their new Australian friends at Sounds of The Suburbs!
